Unarmoured
The i-connect Multi Loose Tube Unarmoured Cables consist of up to 288, 250µm optical fibres in gel filled loose tube. The cables surround a Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) central strength member.
For higher fibre count, the multi tube structure is made up of an assembly of different tubes around a central strength element. For outdoor applications, the cables are designed with a resistant outer sheath, made of polyethylene, making it resistant to severe abrasion, temperature variation and crushing.
